Injector Neck and Injector Bridge were created for the virtuoso Paul Gilbert

Larry DiMarzio recalls, "We first heard about Paul Gilbert in 1980. Billy Sheehan told us about an 18-year-old from the band Racer X who had recently appeared in California and simply amazed everyone with his musicality, speed of play, and stunning technique. Of course, we offered Paul to become a DiMarzio endorser, and that was the beginning of our wonderful relationship."

Lately, Paul has taken a great interest in our Area™ pickup series. Playing a lot of Racer X material today, it's time for Paul Gilbert's own DiMarzio pickup series in single-coil format.

The Injector Neck. This model has a more modern sound than the classic sound in the Area series. The sound is louder and hotter than a typical classic single-coil, and, of course, with noise cancellation. With 40% less magnetism than a standard single-coil, this model "captures" high-gain fast solo parts without mud and "nuances" in sound. And it has a full and balanced sound even in clean tone.
